What is WalkAThon?

The annual Nativity School WalkAThon is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Teachers, staff, students, and volunteers join together to walk in our annual WalkAThon. The funds raised for this event go towards balancing the school budget and providing many additional resources that are not covered by tuition.

This important event is an interactive fundraiser that not only generates much-needed financial support for our school, but it also promotes fitness and education.

Nativity Catholic Church is firmly committed to the value of Catholic education as it is offered through Nativity Catholic School. As a parish community, we view our school as an important ministry through which we share our Catholic faith with our families and their children.
 
The cost of providing a quality Catholic education is an ever-increasing reality. Because of the great value that is associated with our Catholic school, the cost is a shared responsibility between our parish monetary investments and school families (tuition). The sacrifice that is made by our parish community and school families is extraordinary but it is a sacrifice that is very worthwhile because of the many blessings which are received through Nativity Catholic School.
 
In order to keep tuition at an affordable level, fundraising is a necessary component of the overall financial structure of our school. As a member of our school community, each school family is expected to support the major fundraising effort that is offered each year to support Nativity Catholic School.

It is the expectation that each family will participate with a pledge of $150 or more. While this may seem like a lot, it does go to support many of the activities we do here at Nativity for your children and is very important. A family’s fundraising balance must be paid to Nativity Catholic School or it will be added to the family’s registration fee for the following school year. The fundraising balance for families of an 8th-grade student must be paid prior to graduation in order for the student to participate in the graduation ceremony.

The WalkAThon could not happen without all the wonderful volunteers every year! Volunteers are the backbone of our sucess. Please prayerfully consider helping out this year! We'd love to have you!
